Dear Member,

Theatre lovers rejoice. The magic of live performances is irreplaceable both for the actor and the audience and this week is reason to celebrate.

The last week of May is packed with two live theatre productions, and the return of our NT Live Broadcasts. Watch Chacha Chhakkan In Action (28th), a comedy on the 45-year-old Chacha Chhakkan, and his penchant for interfering in family affairs. In a different vein, we have a mythological revision in The Last Six Days of Dasharath (29th) which dissects the actions and intentions of King Dasharath, through a gender lens. NTLive kicks off with a chart topper. British playwright Tom Stoppard’s critically acclaimed new play, Leopoldstadt (27th) a passionate drama of love, family and endurance. Tickets for all three productions are fast selling, grab yours soon.

We also have an array of music and dance programmes by young talents, from the home and the world. Several Indian Classical Musicians associated with the Society for Action Through Music (SAM) perform on two nights – 28th and 29th. And artistes from The Olivia Contemporary Dance Project, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy, New Delhi, perform a production based on Antonio Vivaldi’s famous composition, The Four Seasons (31st).

Come also for the starry launch of A Moment In Time With Legends Of Indian Arts by Dr. Alka Raghuvanshi.
