A celebration of the vibrant diversity of our sacred land that has nourished us for millennia, and a gentle reminder of the interconnected web that binds environment, culture and life. From holy rivers born in Himalayan glaciers to forests, deserts and the sea, diverse cultural streams have mingled through folklore, music, dance and stories. IHC Samanvay 2026 invites seekers and creative persons to share, inspire and renew our resolve to conserve our shared heritage.
6:00pm | Keynote Address: Walking lightly on the Planet: Learning from ecological traditions to build a sustainable future
Sunita Narain is among India’s foremost environmental thinkers and public intellectuals, with over four decades of leadership in climate policy, sustainable development, water governance, and environmental justice. She is Director General of the Centre for Science and Environment. She has been awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India.

A performance by Ajit Singh Palawat & Ipshita Chakraborty. A lyrical evocation of the mesmerising web that has sustained all life on Mother Earth for eons: where mountains, forests, rivers, the desert and the ocean are entwined. This invocation is a reminder that this consecrated heritage is imperilled at the moment- nature ravaged by the avarice of man. Concept : Prof. Pushpesh Pant. Script: Sahil Ahuja. 7:15pm | Pulikali (Play of The Tigers)
A traditional folk art performance under the guidance of Master Vinod. Performers transform into tigers and leopards, painting their bodies in vivid yellows and reds, and dance to the pulsating rhythms of the "Chenda" and the "Chengillik". This 200-year-old art form from Kerala is traditionally performed during Onam, the harvest festival.
