Habitat programmes has been programming cultural events since 1997 and today the Centre is counted as one of the city's premium cultural hubs.The range of programmes span dance, music, theatre films, talks, poetry ,book launches along with our seminal annual Festivals.

Stein Auditorium, The Theatre and the Amphitheatre at India Habitat Centre have thrilled audiences over the years with virtuoso performances by a galaxy of stars.

The IHC Lohri, the annual Holi concert, Lok Sangeet Sammelan and IHC Morning Ragas are a must attend for music aficionados.

Dancing their way into our hearts over the years have been legends of Indian dance. The gurus and their shishyas The curtain has risen over the years on some of the finest plays and seen the work of leading names of theatre. In addition to our annual Theatre Festival, and Collegiate Theatre Festival, the monthly NTLive screenings, Weekend Theatre and Dramatized Readings keep theatre buffs engaged throughout the year.

One of the best Auditoria in the country, Stein Auditorium is equipped with Digital Cinema Projection facilities and an Atmos sound system along with being one of the few venues in the country with functioning 35 mm projection. . In addition to monthly film screenings we have two annual Film Festivals: the Habitat International Film Festival (HIFF) bringing film lovers the best of World cinema and the Habitat Film Festival (HFF)- The Best of Pan Indian Cinema.

Gulmohar Hall and Casuarina are popular venues with publishers and authors for book launches as well as for talks and panel discussions.

Samanvay – Celebrating Ideas and Indian languages sees draws the best authors and literary minds from across the country over three day at the Amphitheatre while our IHC Free Book X’Change on the first Sunday of each month is the book lovers Adda.
