22nd Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival. The Rock (Turkey/ Non Verbal/ 40 mins) Dir. Theodora Popova Lazorova. Performed by Uçaneller Kuklaevi (Flying Hands Puppet Theatre). An imaginative retelling of the much loved children’s tale, packed with laughter, surprises & a very important life lesson! A giant rock tumbles onto a busy road & blocks everyone’s way. Meet a parade of funny & colourful puppets trying to move it - but no matter what they do, the rock just won’t budge! Finally a small child shows up & moves it. With a twinkle in their eye & a very clever idea, he shows the audience that sometimes the simplest solutions are the most magical of all. Ticketed show.
