IHC Collegiate Theatre and Music Festival 2026. DeMira (Hindi/ 60 mins) by Vayam, Shivaji College. Dir. Palak Rawat. DeMira follows Meera Bai's spiritual journey from childhood, when she is first introduced to Krishna and begins to see him as her eternal companion. As she grows, her devotion shapes her relationships with her parents, influences her marriage, and creates tension within her husband's royal household. While society questions her faith, Meera quietly challenges patriarchal expectations and rigid social norms through her unwavering bhakti. Over time, her devotion begins to influence those around her, gradually shifting perspectives and inspiring reflection on faith, love, and freedom.
Followed by Laat Sahab Laut Aaye (Hindi/ 50 mins) by Hansraj Dramatics Society, Hansraj College. Dir. Harsh Sharma, Shambhavi Gupta & Kashvi.
हरि रि को भजे सो हरि रि का होय
Set in 1980s Vrindavan, Laat Sahab Laut Aaye tells the story of women taught to survive by waiting. In a world where widowhood defines them, rituals like Jhanjhari force them to bless weddings they can never fully belong to. Chandrika, whose husband never returned, lives between hope and loss, her endless waiting seen as madness. When a man from the city returns, buried silences rise, revealing how fear, faith, and loneliness shape fragile lives.
