IHC Lok Sangeet Sammelan. Day 1. A Tribute to Teejan Bai. Folk Tradition of Pandavani by Prabha Yadav, disciple of Late Jhaduram Devangan. An evening devoted to the Vedamati tradition of Pandavani, the narrative art from Chhattisgarh, where episodes from the Mahabharata are brought to life through strong vocals, expressive gestures, and the resonant Ektara. In the Vedamati style, the performance will focus on the intense episode of Draupadi Cheer Haran. Accompanied by Shiv Nishad (Manjira), Mohan Patel (Harmonium), Lilak Sahu (Tabla), Lakshmi Narayan (Banjo), and Nitesh Yadav (Dafli), together offering an experience that is both contemplative and dramatic.
