Hansika is an adaptation of Swan Lake, the ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, in the context of Indian classical dance–Odissi. Inspired by the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse, the production explores the humane aspect of the plot through the Indian world of raga, taal, laya and rasa.
