Mezok explores the nature of desire that sits inside us like a mountain, desire that moves mountains and a mountain that fulfils desires. A table and Pavitra Kumar are at the centre of the piece. The table becomes a vehicle for exploring spaces held together by the pieces of wood, while Pavitra Kumar explores spaces held together between dreams and reality, language and lullabies, desire and distances. The piece looks at endless yearning and endless distances all tied up with definitive specifics like identity papers, house addresses, licenses-passport numbers, account numbers, block numbers, room numbers, window numbers, token numbers.
